Where to find it: Profile → Payment Your saved payment method is used to pay for shipping labels and any other purchases you make within the Local Pass platform. All payments are securely processed by Stripe — your card details are never stored on Local Pass servers.

Adding or changing a card

  1. Tap Add New Card if no card is saved yet, or Change Card to replace an existing one
  2. A secure Stripe payment sheet will open
  3. Enter your card details in the Stripe form
  4. Tap Add or Save inside the payment sheet
  5. Your card details will be synced automatically to your account
A green confirmation message will appear when the card is updated successfully.

Your card visual

The card preview on screen is styled like a Local Pass card and shows:
  • Last 4 digits and expiry date of your saved card
  • Card brand (e.g., VISA, MASTERCARD)
  • Your Rewards Balance shown as a coin icon with your dollar amount
  • Your city’s Local Pass artwork as the card background

What your card is used for

Your card is only charged in specific situations:
Simply saving your card does not result in any charge. You are only billed when you take an action that requires payment, such as buying a shipping label.

Security

  • All card processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider
  • Local Pass never stores your full card number or CVV
  • Your card details are encrypted end-to-end through Stripe’s secure payment sheet

Troubleshooting

Card was declined: Check that the billing address and card details match your bank records. Contact your bank if the issue persists. Card won’t save: Ensure you have a stable internet connection and try again. If the problem continues, contact support at support@imlocal.ca.
