Ask to join a store
A store shares a join link with you, by email or on its website. Open it, tell the store about your farm or business, and press Send request. It takes about five minutes.- The form asks what you sell, where it’s made, how it’s kept, and the permits and licences that fit your products. Give what you have. Anything missing goes to the store as a question, and you can send it later.
- You tick I hold the permits and licences my products need, and my labels follow the rules. You hold your own permits. The store decides what it sells. Neither the store nor Local Pass is a regulator, and the form isn’t legal advice.
- The notes on the form explain BC rules for what you sell, with their sources and a link to the Food business guide.
- The store sees your answers, documents and photos. Documents are kept private to that store.
Open your page with a code
- Open your link. You see Check it’s you.
- Press Email me a code. We send a 6-digit code to the email the store has for you.
- Type it in Code from the email and press Continue.
If the page says We need your email first, the store doesn’t have your email address yet. Ask them to add it to your details, then open your link again. If the email shown isn’t yours, ask the store to update your details.
Add a product
On Your products, press Add a product. Fill in what you know:- Name and Description.
- Regular price: what shoppers pay, per unit. If the store buys from you, you see Your price to the store instead: what the store pays you, per unit. You never see the store’s selling price.
- Quantity and Unit: how much one unit is, such as 500 g or 12 eggs. Whole numbers only: use a smaller unit (2.5 kg → 2500 g).
- Stock level: how many you have to sell. Blank is 0 until you know.
- Sold by weight, for items weighed when the order is packed, such as meat, cheese or produce.
- Category & subcategory, Storage, Shipping weight, Product labels, Allergens and Search keywords.
- Product image: JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB. You can reuse photos you uploaded before.
Tick every allergen the product contains. Shoppers see them on the listing.
What the status means
Each product on Your products shows a status:- Waiting for store to check: you sent it, and the store hasn’t put it on sale yet. You can still press Edit and change it.
- On sale: shoppers can order it. When a product goes on sale, the store emails you, for example “Store put product on sale”.
- Not on sale: the store has the product, but isn’t selling it right now.
