To receive payouts from Local Pass, you need to connect a Stripe Express account. Stripe is the payment platform Local Pass uses to transfer your earnings directly to your bank account.
Why Stripe?
Stripe handles all money movement securely. Once connected, Local Pass sends your earnings to your Stripe account and Stripe deposits them to your bank — your banking details are never shared with Local Pass directly.
How to Set Up
Go to Driver Profile → Payment Settings and tap Set up payment.
You’ll be asked one question: do you already have a Stripe account?
Option 1 — I Don’t Have a Stripe Account
Tap the “I don’t have a Stripe account” tile. The app will:
- Create a new Stripe Express account for you automatically.
- Generate a secure onboarding link.
- Open the Stripe onboarding page in your browser.
Complete the Stripe onboarding form (takes about 5–10 minutes). You’ll need to provide your personal information, banking details, and identity verification.
Once you finish, return to the app. Your account will be linked.
Option 2 — I Already Have a Stripe Account
Tap the “I have a Stripe account” tile. You’ll be asked to enter your Stripe Account ID — this looks like acct_XXXXXXXXX.
To find your Stripe Account ID:
- Log into your Stripe Dashboard.
- Go to Settings → Business details. Your Account ID is listed there.
Tap Next and the app will open your Stripe onboarding link to complete the connection.
Completing Onboarding
After the initial setup, your account status shows in the Payment Settings screen. If Stripe still needs more information from you (common for newer accounts), you’ll see a Complete Onboarding button.
Tap it to return to Stripe and finish any outstanding requirements. Until onboarding is complete, your account cannot receive transfers.
You must complete Stripe onboarding fully before Local Pass can send any earnings to you. Payouts will not process until your account shows as charges-enabled.
Accessing Your Stripe Portal
Once your account is connected, a Access Payment Portal button appears in Payment Settings. Tapping it opens the Stripe Express login where you can:
- View your balance and transfer history
- Manage your bank account details
- Enable instant payouts (requires a debit card on file)
- Download tax documents
Copying Your Stripe ID
Your Stripe Account ID is displayed in the Payment Settings header. Tap Copy ID to copy it to your clipboard — useful if you need it for support inquiries.
