Back-to-back orders are one of the best ways to maximise your earnings per shift. The system lets you pre-accept a second delivery while you’re still completing your current one. When you finish your active delivery, the next order is already queued and ready — no waiting on the lobby screen between runs.

How It Works

While you’re heading to a customer’s address (dropoff phase), Local Pass monitors nearby orders. If a new delivery request comes in that’s close to where you’re about to be, the system offers it to you directly on your navigation screen as a banner offer. You have 50 seconds to decide. If you accept, the order is held for you. If you decline or ignore it, the order is offered to another driver.
Back-to-back offers only appear during the dropoff phase — when you’re on your way to the customer. They do not appear when you’re heading to the restaurant for pickup. The system can’t reliably predict where you’ll be free until you’ve actually picked up the current order.

The Offer Banner

When a back-to-back offer arrives, a card slides down from the top of your navigation screen. It sits above the map without blocking the route directions, so you can keep driving safely. The banner shows everything you need to make a quick decision: The time estimates are calculated based on your delivery method:

The Countdown Timer

You have 50 seconds to accept or decline. The timer is shown as a number in the top-right corner of the banner and it changes colour as time runs out: A thin progress bar at the very top of the banner also shrinks as time passes.
If the timer reaches zero with no response, the offer is automatically treated as a decline. The ringtone stops, the banner disappears, and the order is released to another driver.

Accepting a Back-to-Back Order

Tap the Queue Order button.
1

Tap Queue Order

Local Pass locks the order to you immediately. The banner disappears and a confirmation message briefly appears at the bottom of the screen confirming the order is queued.
2

Continue your current delivery as normal

Nothing changes about your active navigation. Keep heading to your current customer’s address — the queued order loads automatically once this delivery is completed.
3

Finish your current delivery

Complete the dropoff as you normally would. The moment the active delivery is marked complete, your next order is ready and navigation will begin for the queued pickup.
The customer for the queued order can already see your name and driver details on their tracking screen as soon as you accept. They know a driver is on the way — even if you’re still completing another delivery.
Back-to-back orders are most valuable during busy periods (lunch and dinner rushes). Keep an eye on the banner during those times — accepting chained orders is one of the most efficient ways to earn more per hour.

Declining a Back-to-Back Order

Tap the Decline button. The offer is released back into the pool and will be offered to another nearby driver. You are added to the ignored list for this specific order so it won’t come back to you again. Your current navigation continues without any interruption.
Declining a back-to-back offer does not affect your acceptance rate. These are optional bonus opportunities, not standard dispatched requests. There is no penalty for declining them.

If the Offer Disappears on Its Own

If the banner vanishes without you tapping anything, one of two things happened:
  1. The timer ran out — treated the same as a decline. The order has been released to another driver.
  2. The offer was cancelled externally — the system may have re-assigned the order to a different driver (for example, if the server timed it out on the backend). In this case, the banner dismisses itself and you continue your current delivery normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Only interact with the banner when it is safe to do so — when you’re stationary at a light or have a passenger take action for you. Never tap the screen while the vehicle is moving. If you’re not in a safe position to respond, let the timer expire. Your safety is more important than any single order.
The banner slides in from the top of the navigation screen. If your map is zoomed into a different area or you’ve tapped on the map, the banner may be partially hidden behind the navigation instruction card. Scroll up or tap the location button to re-centre the map — the banner should become visible.
Once accepted, the queued order is committed to you. The customer has already been shown your details. Cancelling a queued order after accepting it will affect your completion rate. If you have a genuine reason you cannot complete it, contact support as soon as possible.
Each delivery is credited to your wallet individually. The queued order’s earnings are added after that delivery is completed, just like any other order.
Yes. The back-to-back system is available for all delivery methods. The time estimates on the banner are automatically calculated using the speed appropriate for your method (foot: 5 km/h, bike: 18 km/h), so the estimates you see are specific to how you travel.
