# Personalizing Local Pass

Your Local Pass card is your digital identity on the platform. It displays your initials, location, and rewards balance, and it can be customised with different artwork to make it your own.

## Getting to the Personalization Page

1. Tap the **Profile** icon in the bottom navigation bar.
2. Tap **Settings**.
3. Under **Personal Account**, tap **Personalize Local Pass**.

## What You Can Customize

On the Personalization page, you can choose the **artwork** displayed on your Local Pass card. The card also automatically shows:

* Your initials (first and last, not your full name — e.g. "J D")
* "local in \[your province]"
* Your Local Coins balance, rounded to the nearest dollar
* An **ID** made from the last 4 digits of the phone number on your account (not the full number)

## Changing the Card Design

1. On the Personalization page, you'll see "Choose an artwork that represents your province" above a swipeable carousel of card designs.
2. Swipe left or right (or use the arrow buttons) to preview each artwork — the card updates instantly with your name, location, ID, and balance overlaid on it, along with the artwork's name and province below.
3. This is only a **preview** — nothing is saved yet.
4. Tap **Save Artwork** at the bottom to apply your selection. The button shows "Saving..." briefly, then a green "Your Local Pass artwork has been updated!" confirmation appears, and a checkmark badge appears on the card you selected.

  You can browse through as many designs as you like before deciding — only tapping Save Artwork actually changes your card.

## Where Your Local Pass Card Appears

Your personalised Local Pass card is shown:

* On the **Home screen** of the app as your main profile card
* When sharing your referral with friends
* As a visual representation of your account and rewards status

## Frequently Asked Questions

  <Accordion title="Can I use my own image as the card background?">
    At this time, card designs are chosen from the available artwork options provided in the app. Custom photo uploads for the card background are not supported.

  <Accordion title="My card is not showing my correct balance — what should I do?">
    Your Local Coins balance updates in real time based on your activity. If you notice a discrepancy, try closing and reopening the app. If the issue continues, contact Local Pass support.

  <Accordion title="Does changing the card design affect how my account works?">
    No. The card design is purely visual. It does not affect your rewards balance, your orders, or any other account functionality.
