It's designed to help you get the most out of your order — whether that's waiving a fee, unlocking free delivery, or earning a surprise reward. *** ## What Is the Order Tracker? The Order Tracker is a visual progress bar that shows how close your current cart is to reaching one or more milestones set by the vendor. Tap on it at any time to see a detailed explanation of each goal. There are up to three types of milestones: | Milestone | Icon | What it means | | ----------------------------------------- | -------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- | | Small Order Fee / Minimum Order threshold | Receipt or bag | Add more to waive the fee, or to meet the minimum to check out | | Free Delivery | Truck | Add more to unlock free delivery | | Mystery Box | Gift | Add more to unlock a surprise bonus item | As you add items to your cart, the progress bar fills in real time. *** ## The Small Order Fee — and Minimum Order Required Some vendors set a minimum cart value. What happens below it depends on the kind of order: * **Restaurant order, delivered by a Local Pass driver:** a **small order fee** is added to your service fee at checkout if you're below the threshold. * **Local Market (shop) orders, or a restaurant delivering with its own drivers:** there's no fee — instead you'll see a plain **Minimum Order Required**, and you simply need to reach it before you can check out. The fee version exists because processing a very small order has a baseline cost regardless of order size — payment processing, packaging, and handling apply about equally to a small order as to a large one. Rather than building this into product prices, vendors use a small order threshold so customers with larger orders aren't penalized. **The good news:** You can always clear either version by adding a bit more to your cart. The Goal Tracker will show you exactly how much more you need: > *"\$4.50 to avoid small order fee"* Once you pass the threshold, the milestone turns green and the label changes to: > *"Small order fee waived"* *** ## Free Delivery Threshold Some vendors offer free delivery when your order reaches a certain value. The Goal Tracker shows you how close you are: > *"\$8.00 for free delivery"* Once reached, your delivery fee at checkout will show as **Free**. If a vendor offers free delivery and you're close to the threshold, it's often worth adding one more item — the delivery savings will likely exceed the item's cost. This node only appears at all when delivery is actually available for that vendor — if you're set up for pickup only, or the vendor doesn't deliver, you won't see it. *** ## Mystery Box The Mystery Box is a special reward offered by select vendors on Local Pass. When your cart reaches the Mystery Box threshold, a surprise bonus item is automatically added to your order — at no extra charge. Some vendors give it their own name in place of "Mystery Box." What's inside is entirely up to the vendor — Local Pass doesn't set or describe the contents. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, contact the vendor directly before placing your order rather than relying on the surprise. The Goal Tracker will show the milestone as: > *"\$6.00 for Mystery Box"* Once you hit the threshold, the gift icon turns purple and the tracker confirms you've unlocked it. The Mystery Box is vendor-specific and may not be available at every store. If a vendor has enabled it, you'll see it in the Goal Tracker automatically. *** ## How All Three Work Together If a vendor has set multiple goals, the tracker shows all of them on a single progress bar, and the text above the bar always points you toward the *nearest* one you haven't reached yet. The vendor chooses what to include, and part of the fun is the reveal. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, contact the vendor directly before placing your order. If your cart value drops below a threshold, the milestone becomes unmet again. At checkout, the small order fee (or minimum order requirement) will reapply if you're below the threshold. The Mystery Box item will be removed from your order if your cart drops below that threshold. No. Each vendor sets their own threshold. The Goal Tracker always shows the specific threshold for the store you're ordering from. No. When your cart reaches the free delivery threshold, it's applied automatically at checkout. You don't need a code or any action on your part.
