# Your producer page

> For farms and makers who sell through a store on Local Pass: ask to join, open your page with an emailed code, add products and keep your stock up to date.

This page is for producers: farms and makers whose products a store sells on Local Pass. Your producer page is where you add products for that store and keep your stock up to date. You don't need a Local Pass account.

## Ask to join a store

A store shares a join link with you, by email or on its website. Open it, tell the store about your farm or business, and press **Send request**. It takes about five minutes.

* The form asks what you sell, where it's made, how it's kept, and the permits and licences that fit your products. Give what you have. Anything missing goes to the store as a question, and you can send it later.
* You tick **I hold the permits and licences my products need, and my labels follow the rules.** You hold your own permits. The store decides what it sells. Neither the store nor Local Pass is a regulator, and the form isn't legal advice.
* The notes on the form explain BC rules for what you sell, with their sources and a link to the [Food business guide](https://localpass.ca/food-business-bc).
* The store sees your answers, documents and photos. Documents are kept private to that store.

You get an email saying the store got your request. If the store says yes, you get a second email, "*Store*: your producer page", with an **Open your producer page** button. If it says no, you get an email saying so, sometimes with a note.

A store can also add you itself and send you your link without a request.

## Open your page with a code

1. Open your link. You see **Check it's you**.
2. Press **Email me a code**. We send a 6-digit code to the email the store has for you.
3. Type it in **Code from the email** and press **Continue**.

The code works for 10 minutes. If it doesn't arrive, press **Send a new code** (you can ask for one a minute).

After that, this phone or computer stays signed in for 30 days. On a new device, you get a new code.

> [!NOTE]
>
> If the page says **We need your email first**, the store doesn't have your email address yet. Ask them to add it to your details, then open your link again. If the email shown isn't yours, ask the store to update your details.

## Add a product

On **Your products**, press **Add a product**. Fill in what you know:

* **Name** and **Description**.
* **Regular price**: what shoppers pay, per unit. If the store buys from you, you see **Your price to the store** instead: what the store pays you, per unit. You never see the store's selling price.
* **Quantity** and **Unit**: how much one unit is, such as 500 g or 12 eggs. Whole numbers only: use a smaller unit (2.5 kg → 2500 g).
* **Stock level**: how many you have to sell. Blank is 0 until you know.
* **Sold by weight**, for items weighed when the order is packed, such as meat, cheese or produce.
* **Category & subcategory**, **Storage**, **Shipping** weight, **Product labels**, **Allergens** and **Search keywords**.
* **Product image**: JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB. You can reuse photos you uploaded before.

Press **Send to *store***. The store checks your product and puts it on sale. Until then you can change anything.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Tick every allergen the product contains. Shoppers see them on the listing.

## What the status means

Each product on **Your products** shows a status:

* **Waiting for *store* to check**: you sent it, and the store hasn't put it on sale yet. You can still press **Edit** and change it.
* **On sale**: shoppers can order it. When a product goes on sale, the store emails you, for example "*Store* put *product* on sale".
* **Not on sale**: the store has the product, but isn't selling it right now.

The store puts products on sale and sets where they sell.

## Change your stock

On a product that's on sale, press **Change stock**, type the new **Stock level** and press **Save stock**. Keep it up to date so nothing sells out by surprise.

Everything else on a product that's on sale is the store's to change. Contact the store for anything else.

## Sign out

Press **Sign out on this device** at the top of your page. Next time, you'll need a new code.

## Lost your link?

If your link says **This link doesn't work**, or you can't find it, ask the store you sell through to send you a new one. A new link stops the old one. Keep your link to yourself.
